It's Sunday....in Deutschland

Ok so for all you people who do not live and have never been to Deutschland(Germany) here is a little explanation of why Sunday in Deutschland is such a big thing:

ABSOLUTELY ALL THE SHOPS ARE CLOSED ON SUNDAY!

So in most peoples minds you would think, "Great a day I can be super productive and get so much stuff done like homework and housework and other miscellaneous random ass shit that I procrastinated doing during the week because I've just been to busy to even try to do it." That is not the case for Meri and I.  Here is a little look at our day that we should be doing shit that we need to do:

We have been talking about doing our laundry for a week.  Sunday is usually laundry day in the Almer Forwie household.  Still procrastinating that one.

Meri-Tuulia

This is Meri-Tuulia a.k.a Ocean Winds (translated from Finnish to English).

My first impression of Meri: she is sassy, classy, and so fashionable.  I was honestly pretty jealous of her when I first saw her.  Everything about her radiates confidence and style.  She can pull anything out of a closet and make it look good.  I love the way that she can start a conversation with anyone and make it a legit and genuine conversation.  She brings people together and makes everyone feel as though we are always having a good time; just because she can laugh and enjoy herself it makes others want to do the same.

When I first met Meri I knew instantly that I wanted to be her friend.  You know when you meet someone and you just feel like you've known them your whole life.  That's how it was when I met Meri.  We instantly got each other.  Our understanding of each other is so simple and easy.  We have the silliest inside jokes and interactions all the time.  Our friendship has blossomed in the most natural way possible and I know that I can talk about anything with this girl.  We will be together the rest of our lives as friends, no matter where we are in the world.  I couldn't be more happy that this is the other half to 2 Broke International Girls :) <3

 Meri is a Time-Nazi.  She always wants to be on time and absolultey dislikes people who make her late.  It's one of the reasons why I love her.  Do not keep Meri waiting, she will leave your ass :)

Beautiful, Intelligent, and most of all Fun!

 Everything about her screams fun.  She radiates this beautiful light of fun, all you want to do is become her friend :)

 She is absolutely in love with her country.  Every time we see something from Finland she will definitely point it out to you and then proceed to explain about it.  I love the fact that she is so proud of where she comes from!

Moving to our new apartment!

I've made a good example and now she is on her phone 24/7.  Just like and American :)

I took her Vapiano virginity.

A normal day in our apartment involves underwear on our faces. No big deal.

 She makes me feel as though I can do anything.  Around Meri you never have to be embarrassed.  I love the fact that she accepts everyone and everything for what he/she/it is.  She never judges anyone or anything for who/what they are.  She doesn't even realize how big of deal it is to be so non-judgement to everyone.  That is why you want to be her friend.  She accepts you for you and will never take that for granted.

 I would have never thought I could find someone like Meri.  She really is the best most awesome friend I could have! This year of crazy and madness would be so different it I didn't become friends with this beautiful girl.

ALEX

This is Alex

She's the other part of Broke Internationals, the American one. Her name is Alex, she's 20 and her birthday will be 18.12. - We're gonna have a big party on December! 

The first time when I saw her, I thought she's quiet and that she doesn't like me - she's quite the opposite! She's loud, she loves me and she's just fucking awesome. Sorry for my bad language, I'm not sorry höhö.

The first night together

We were sitting next to each other in the bus sending pictures 

Alex doesn't like microwaves that much; when her food gets cold, she doesn't want to warm it again. The same goes to tea and coffee; she drinks it, even though it's cold.

We moved to our house! 

Alex likes the color pink. She loves animals and wants to get a cat in our apartment.

Alex likes to meditate. One night we went out, she said she feels like she's high because of meditation. She really has the strength to concentrate and she can keep her mind about things - I mean if she wants something, she's gonna get it. I really envy that part of her. 

The annoying laundry day in Unterhof

Alex doesn't like licorice; I will get some finnish licorice to her and then she'll love it! Whoop whoop

She loves black chocolate and is always making something good for us.  

We have our weird moments and I have a lot of videos of Alex where she's dancing. I love her sense of humor, especially when she can get my stupid jokes. The way that she makes people feel around her is really really amazing; you can only feel like home around her. She's always making sure, everything's ok. So unselfish.

Alex is an vegetarian, even though we ate some turkey for the first lunch in our house. She likes eggs, loves spinach and could cover the whole fucking sachertorte with sahne. She's mad about whipped cream and of course peanut butter and nutella - especially the mixture of them. 

Alex is an amazing cook! And that's one of her dreams, to have own restaurant. She makes the best avocado pasta and cookies. She knows that she's good at cooking, and that makes her cookings more better! She has the talent, and she's not afraid to use it. One time she made a cake and was unsure if it's good. It was just fucking awesome! I could have swam in that cake. 

DJ's birthday

Alex has one whole bag full of chocolate, just for her grand mum. Under you can see all of the beauty of the bag - we have ate a lot of that chocolate. I'm a chocolate freak.

Alex is really bossy sometimes. She likes to take control of everything and it's fine by me! She's always the leader of the group and is always ready to help everyone. She's so shearing and warm person.

In Frankfurt

Alex is a traveller. She wants to see the world, she wants to see what's out there. She enjoys just to experience things and is open to everything. Even though she's pretty strict about what she wants, she can always do compromises with everyone. She never wants people to feel bad or sad about their selves.

She was being funny 

As everyone, Alex also has dreams. Dreams about what she wants to be. Sometimes I with I could be more like her, I think she doesn't even know how amazing she is!

Alex plays golf and just now she put a flag on our wall with signatures - of course golf players signatures.

So that's her! My little hunny booboo. I love you with all my heart and you're my best friend and I know, that's gonna be the fact of the rest of our lives. PUSIPUSI

The starting point

About two months ago we met each other. We had both came to Gießen to study abroad and our summer course had just started. In the first weeks we knew we're gonna be friends... What would become of this friendship?

So, we are Meri & Alex, the broke internationals in Germany. We're living together in our apartment 11 - before that we were living in Eichendorffring, one of the studentenheims in Giessen. Now we can enjoy our mold-free crib, do cookies every saturday and dance naked when ever we want. Hallelujah!

The future will bring different kind of journeys, weird video postings and desperate times when we are talking about black cats and our money problems. YOLO
